I survived an heart attack this Sunday

Surprised as it may sound....I had an heart attack on 06.09.09 on my site, I was about to get into my site but however I was feeling rather uneasy under my arms and chest. I thought it was indigestion based on the sumptuous meal that I had as then too I had the same discomfort. So I went to the nearest Doctor whom I had known many years back.

He gave me gastric medicines and I was not very happy with it and hence informed him about the ECG that I had done last Friday and the Doctor had mentioned that there was some irregularities in it. So this Doctor asked me whether I can bring over the results and since this clinic was far away, I asked the Doctor whether I can do another ECG at his clinic (now this probably saved my life).......

So he did one and after that he immediately asked me to get admitted into a heart hospital. So there I was with my safety officer tagging along (another person who was a saviour) and driving the car myself and walking in to inform the Specialist center with a heart attack.

I called my wife who was 400 km away and she started crying and after that they hooked me up on a lot of wires, my BP was stabilized and a lot of stuff was running through my mind....I thought this can't be it....life can't be this short...I have 2 boys....one to put through med school....

The Doctor said that I just didn't know what I had gone through and that I should this matter seriously. I insisted on being transferred to my hometown and my wife came over that night from KL.

The next day my condition was stabilized and I was transported to Kuala Lumpur by ambulance to Subang Medical Center which is very close to my house with my wife and two paramedics tagging along to make sure that I had a safe and comfortable journey....my blessings to them.

I was under the care of Dr. Jeyamalar and after they did my angiography, they found that I have 3 blocks and I am slotted for a by pass on 17.09.09. The Doctor who would operate me is Dato' Dr. Rozali Wathooth, who is a top heart surgeon in Malaysia.

So please pray for me....and I will blog after my surgery, when the health permits....till then my love to all who reads this blog.....my life had been one big roller coaster ride..... hope to enjoy many more rides.....

In the cases of heart attack and cardiac arrest, or any other heart shocks, time sets to be the most crucial factor for the survival of the patient. Sometimes, a little knowledge regarding the immediate actions to be taken may help your near and dear ones to survive in such incidents. Keith Churchwell has extraordinarily explained the pros and cons while handling patient suffering immediate heart attack or cardiac arrest. The response a person takes to treat a victim decides the probability of his/her survival. Its been my personal experience fighting to survive against a heart attack. A quick recognization of your bodily responses may increase your chances of survival. Because of having many heart problems, I was enrolled in a concierge Healthcare program from elite health. I was attacked by a severe heart attack in a party, luckily surrounded by many people. Some of the sudden changes in my body was recognized by me and anticipated immediately. I got a very severe chest pain which was almost unbearable for more than a minute. I got the suspicion that I might be having heart attack, and immediately called my physician on the phone, and explained my condition and its severity. Because of the immediate guidance, I was directed immediately to have an aspirin which I used to carry with me as prescribed by my physician. It was quite a frightening experience for me to face such a heart attack, but somehow I managed to be calm until 911 arrived. I was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where already my physician were present and have got everything setup according to my medical history. And it was in some matter of seconds that everything was in control. A doctor, who already have the complete knowledge of the medical history and fitness of the person, extra ordinarily ameliorate your recovery process. Hence such a concierge level program from Elite health, helped me a save my life, like many others.
