Quotes of the Week

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." --Melody Beattie
"Generosity is another quality which, like patience, letting go, non-judging, and trust, provides a solid foundation for mindfulness practice." --Jon Kabat Zinn
"Any person capable of angering you becomes your master; he can anger you only when you permit yourself to be disturbed by him." --Epictetus

Greg has often told me something similar to the third quote. "You're LETTING the other person upset you." He's right, but it's not easy to control the emotions.

Enjoying the quotes!

Your quotes highlight three very important human qualities - gratitude (for what others are doing for us), generosity (which makes us think and care for others) and equanimity (not to get upset by others).
